home sweet home. (or not?)
It feels great to be back home- my family, the luxury of having the whole bed to myself, my entire cupboard of clothes to choose from, my mac, and my friends. :) but at the same time, i really miss australia. and the people in australia whom i visited. :) i didn't quite intend to blog tonight because im bushed from the flight, and writing now would do this trip no justice. There's so much i want to say about what i've seen and felt; being lost in a whirlpool of foreign beauty, breathing in new shades of life and the continual excitement and awe. But i shall leave those to another time soon, where i'll post plenty of nice photos! :)
For now, i'd like to say a few thank yous to the people who made this trip absolutely wonderful for me:
Gen: thanks for accomodating us and busying yourself about so that we felt nice and settled; for all the long hours of shopping and sight-seeing, and for showing us around Sydney. :) it was great spending time with you again and all that late night girl talk- i miss it so much. ooh, and thanks for the jam and the mighty soft bread! haha. ooh buy krispy kremes home! :) you take care yep, and i hope you're feeling better now. can't wait to see you back home soon. :)
Hui: you've been absolutely wonderful- walking around the touristy places even though you've been there before, helping me make all those difficult shopping decisions heh, and for that reassuring hug just before you left the cab for T1. :) zoo time with you alone was super fun- there were really some great moments in there, like the near lion attack, being thoroughly amused by that pompous seal, the ferry ride back, and pancakes after. :) i love you dear. :)
Itt: i've said this before, but i've got to say this again- thanks for being the perfect host. :) for buying the bus card for me beforehand, for all the superdelicious breakfasts you made, for that wonderful grilled chicken dinner, and the other posh dinner treat on the first night, for pulling yourself out of bed just to fix me supper (haha, gosh i've been eating way too much), for that really sweet surprise birthday gift at the lake, and for picking me up and seeing me off all the way at the airport. i'm really going to miss watching you cook and the late night company. :) Canberra definitely wouldn't have been the same without you. will write you soon.

If i have no other virtue, I at least have the permanent novelty of free, uninhibited sensation.
